About Lessonry

Lessonry is based in Mississauga, Ontario, and was founded by Nicholas Cerny, a Berklee College of Music graduate who has spent over a decade working directly with music teachers and families through music schools across the Greater Toronto Area — including interviewing and onboarding teachers, and helping students and families find the right fit.

Through that experience, he saw firsthand what makes great music lessons work: strong teachers, supportive families, and the right support behind the scenes.

Lessonry was built around a simple idea: once someone decides it’s time to begin, getting started should feel clear, straightforward, and well supported.

All Lessonry teachers are personally interviewed, reference checked, and required to complete a vulnerable sector background check. Our teachers have experience teaching students across a range of ages, experience levels, and musical goals, and know how to adapt their teaching to each individual student.

Why We Built Lessonry

Getting started with music lessons should be as simple as deciding to begin.

Learning music starts with a moment. When someone decides it’s time to begin, that decision should lead naturally to the lesson itself.

That belief became Lessonry—an online music school built around thoughtfully selected teachers, clear availability, and a simple way to choose and book your lessons when you’re ready.

A Simpler Way to Begin.

Everything you need to get started is in one place.
